Endo specialist here – hello and happy Friday!
As endo, we have many offices referring to us.
We have found it helpful to keep a directory as an excel/etc spreadsheet of all our referring offices (and the random non-referrings whose patients still seek us out).
THE DIRECTORY is so helpful!
How?
Saves time!!!! FD does not have to call or google search for an office email address, days/hours open, etc.
Saves time!!!! In case FD is out/maternity/sick/turnover, anyone can access it – not specifically personnel/brain-dependent. That ONE person in the office should never have all the knowledge – it needs to be shared 😉 imho
Saves time!!!! Especially as a specialist… we also keep track of Extraction/Perio preferences – do they do themselves/refer back to GD? Or, refer to where? It’s all there…. minimal patient waiting time, less phone time, it’s all taken care of.
So, how is this useful to [me]?
Our admin team spends A TON of time on the phone repeating the same thing – even to our high referring offices!!
What?
Yesssss! How to spell our email address (Hopkinton is often misspelled)?
Bounces back, they call again… etc. You can imagine.
If your office employed a directory of sorts, it’s simply a cut and paste, no matter who is at the front.
